I have been coaching skating for 21 years and have been skating for 27 years. I am
the Owner/Director of Symmetrical Skating School. Here are some of my personal and
professional accomplishments:
- I am a Level 3 PSA coach who has passed my PSA Certified Sports and Sciences, and
BCE. I hold Registered PSA ratings in Moves, Freestyle, and Group
- Have passed my USFS Junior Freestyle, Intermediate Moves in the Field, Adult Silver
Freestyle, Figure 2, ISI Freestyle 8, ISI Couples 4, ISI Figure 3, ISI Dance 1
- Coach of Regional, Sectional, International, State Games of America, and ISI World
Championship skaters.
- Coach of skaters who have passed through Senior Moves, Senior Free, ISI Freestyle 9,
Adult Gold, Dance 5, Couples 4 and team Production/Theatre.
- Was selected to be on the planning committee and speaker for the 2007 ISI National
Conference in Minneapolis. In 2008 I will be the co-chair for the instructors section of the
ISI National Conference.
- Awarded the 2007 ISI District Merit Award for District 1 (New England)
- Invited to speak at the 2008 ISI National Conference on Digital Music Editing, Training and
Hiring a good Coaching Staff, and The Business of Coaching

- I am a consultant and speaker for Ice skating program marketing and development. I was
a speaker at the 2003 ISI Conference in Dallas, TX on programming and building home-
school Learn to SKate programs.
- Selected to Judge with US Judges at 2003, 2005, 2007 State Games of America
- Winner of 4 Gold Medals in Artistic, Footwork, Team Compulsories, and Spotlight and on
5th place medal in Jomp/Spin Team at the 2006 ISI World Champs in Boston, MA
- Selected to skate in the ISI Benefit Show at the 2006 ISI World Team Champs for my
performance in the Showcase Event. I got to skate with Emily Hughes...World, Olympic,
and National Competitor!!!
- Winner of 5 Gold Medals at the 2002 ISI World Champs in Artistic 8, Spotlight 8, Footwork
8, Couples Spotlight High, and Solo Compulsory 8. Winner of the Bronze medal in Team
Compulsory 8 with my students.
- Member and Team Coach of the 5th Place Recreational team (in the WORLD)

- My hobby is making jewelry and I enjoy scuba diving (I am a certified rescue diver), going
to the beach, reading, computers (I am a certified techno-junky)
- Full time coach at Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, CT and part time coach at the
Norwich Ice Rink in Norwich, CT and Connecticut College in New London, CT.
